Bible Study, we have a variety of Bible studies held throughout the week and they are listed each week in the newsletter and the bulletin. Women’s Wednesday Bible Study is a time of fellowship, getting to know one another and study! We meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Sisters in Faith is a group for single, divorced, or widowed women and also women who are caregivers for their husbands. We meet the first Friday of every month at noon in the Fellowship Center. This Friday, November 3rd, would be a wonderful time to have you join us. This is potluck and you don’t need to sign up – just come! Ministry leader: Cheryl Sorensen, 865-406-8113.
Hands Helping Hands –ministry meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Center. Fidget blankets, clothing protectors, and other items are made by the loving hands of our volunteers! The items are made for loved ones dealing with Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, or other illness. Ministry leader Patti McLain says, “no sewing or other experience is needed; anyone can be a part of this ministry.” They need help cutting material, copying patterns, and a variety of other tasks. Women’s Fellowship Groups are a fun way to get to know other women in the church. Every six months, we organize women into groups. A hostess leads each group. The hostess arranges for the group to meet once a month. The ladies participate in various activities, including meeting for lunch, shopping, sightseeing, and more! This week we organized the groups. If you didn’t signup and would like to, please contact Ministry Leader Charlene Gilham at charlene@gilham.life or 352-322-5221 right away to be included in a fellowship group!
Prayer Shawl Ministry Do you knit or crochet? Are you interested in delivering prayer shawls? The prayer shawl ministry is for women who want to make prayer shawls given to bless others. The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Center. Members bring the shawls they are working on as well as completed shawls. Each month the group prepares the shawls for delivery. Weekly, shawls are delivered to church members who are ill or going through a tough time. Blessings by the Spoonful is a souper ministry at New Life! Women signup to deliver a meal to New Life members when a small meal is a big blessing! Recently members of this ministry got together and cooked up batches of homemade soup to be able to deliver a soup meal on short notice. If you would like to be part of this ministry contact Ministry Leader Chris Arnold at chris.arnold@comcast.net or 352-638-3205.
Prayer and Card Ministry is made up of a dedicated group of men and women who meet every Wednesday
morning at 8:30 a.m. to pray! We pray to glorify God, but we also pray in order to receive the benefits of
prayer from His hand. Prayer is for our benefit, even in light of the fact that God knows the end from the
beginning. It is our privilege to bring the whole of our finite existence into the glory of His infinite presence.

Mug and Muffins has become a popular event at New Life. We usually have a Mug & Muffins morning two or three times a year. This is a great time to save the date and be on the lookout for further details. Mug & Muffins is held from 10 a.m. to noon and includes lots of coffee and treats, great fellowship and fun, and then the precious testimonies by women of our church.
Glamping with the Girls 2024!
Ladies of New Life! In last week's newsletter you saw the fabulous time we had at the Lake Yale Conference Center with Jennifer Rothschild last weekend. Next September 6-7-8, 2024 Pam Tebow, mother of Tim Tebow will be the presenter. Next year we will stay in hotel rooms at the camp. However, we must make reservations now. Details: $225 per person, this includes hotel room, (2 people per room), all meals, activities, and fun and fellowship time with our New Life ladies! First, non-refundable deposit of $33.75 is due by December 1. We already have 17 women signed up for next year. Please sign up at the Activities Counter as soon as possible. The ladies gather monthly for food, fellowship, and fun! They also arrange group outings. They meet monthly for potluck in the Fellowship Center.
