Rachel Smith's mission and ministry.

I had the pleasure of a one-on-one zoom video call with Rachel that lasted for over an hour. I had been receiving updates on her "Every Nation Tour" that started 6 months ago. She is back now and I got to ask her a few questions about her experience. What she is doing has been an inspiration to me and an example of Christian dedication you don't often see, especially in young people.
There were 60 young missionaries on the Tour and they visited 48 countries in just 6 months. Their accommodations were almost exclusively churches along the way. Though their adventure was rather humbling in that regard, they did experience one generous offering of a resort stay for all of them for a day or two which gave them a luxurious rest they did not expect.
She related an example of a miracle done at the hand of one of them in restoring hearing to a man who was deaf in one ear. It was both humorous and inspiring about faith as small as a mustard seed, something I pray for every day. This was revealed at a gathering much like that of the 12 Disciples when they returned after Jesus sent them out in pairs on their first Apostolic mission with the authority to heal and cast out demons. All who had gone out to teach and preach shared their experiences with each other when they gathered.

Rachel will be heading up the US tour slated to start very soon. There is obviously a lot of planning yet to take place. They will be visiting several major destinations but could not say exactly where that would be just yet. If their tour takes them near any of my family, I will encourage them all to experience it. She also expressed the desire to visit NLCC sometime soon and I hope that will happen.

I had no hesitancy supporting her mission efforts and consider it one of the most important callings of our life time with all trouble in our world today. She called it the "Jesus Revolution" (I hope you have seen the movie). I believe a spiritual movement in the youth of our country would ignite a cultural change that could get our country back on the right track.
