Baptism Sunday: Celebrating God at Work in Our Community

What an incredible Sunday! We had the privilege of watching 10 people publicly declare their faith in Jesus through baptism.

The baptisms on Sunday were not only a church family moment; they were a community moment. When a person steps into new life with Christ, the impact touches families, reaches friends, and brings hope into places where it may have felt thin.

This is especially clear in the work of ministries like House of Hope, a local faith-based ministry we support that helps men recover from addiction. Seeing four men from House of Hope take this step was a beautiful reminder that when men find recovery, healing, and faith, entire circles of people are affected. Families can begin to breathe again. This is what faith is all about—trusting God enough to follow Him, believing He can save, and trusting Jesus to transform us by His grace.

Baptism is a beginning, not the finish line

As much as we loved celebrating Sunday, baptism is not the end of the story—it is a beginning. It marks a public step of obedience, but discipleship is the lifelong walk that follows.

That growth happens in community. No one follows Jesus alone. We need people who will pray with us, encourage us when we are tired, and help us take the next right step. For the 10 people baptized Sunday, we are celebrating the step they took, and as a church family, we are ready to keep walking with them as they grow in faith.
